Easter at Broomfield UMC
We are so glad you stopped by to check out everything happening at Broomfield UMC this Lenten Season. If you're looking for worship services, a way to volunteer, wanting to purchase your Easter flowers, or give - we've got you covered. Keep scrolling to find out all the good stuff!
For our 6:30am Easter Sunrise Worship, in the event of inclement weather we will move to the Chapel.
If a decision is made to move worship due to weather, we will post this change by 6pm Sunday, April 4, our website and social media channels.
2026 Easter Offering
To make a gift to the Easter offering, place a check in the offering plate with Easter in the memo, visit bit.ly/BroomfieldGiving and select Easter Offering from the drop-down list. Join us for Easter Sunday worship to contribute via special offering envelopes.
We invite you to prayerfully consider a special Easter gift this year. Whether large or small, every offering becomes part of a shared witness: that resurrection is alive among us and flowing outward through the people of Broomfield UMC.
Our Ministry Council has selected three recipients for this year’s Easter Offering — organizations whose work reflects healing, restoration, and hope taking root in real and meaningful ways.
33% Sand Creek Healing Run: This sacred run supports Indigenous sisters and brothers who retrace the path connected to the Sand Creek Massacre, bringing awareness to this painful history while fostering reconciliation and the ongoing healing of relationships. Our giving joins a movement of remembrance, justice, and renewed kinship.
33% WeeCycle (www.weecycle.org): WeeCycle provides essential baby gear to families experiencing poverty across Colorado. Items many of us take for granted — diapers, car seats, cribs, and clothing — become lifelines for parents working to provide safe and healthy beginnings for their children.
33% 4Ocean (www.4ocean.com): 4Ocean works globally to remove plastic waste from oceans, rivers, and coastlines while supporting sustainable employment for cleanup crews. Caring for creation is an act of faith, and this partnership allows us to participate in restoring the waters God called good.
Thank you for the many ways you embody Christ’s love — in compassion, justice, and care for our neighbors and our world.

This holy day celebrates Jesus’ entry into Jerusalem, riding on a donkey while others placed palms on the road welcoming Him with shouts of “Hosanna!” It is the beginning of Jesus’ final week as He journeys to the cross and beyond.
Maundy (Holy) Thursday Event - April 2, 2026, at 6pm
Held Together By Love: A Holy Thursday Journey
On the night before His arrest, Jesus knelt with a towel, washed His friends’ feet, and gave them a new commandment: love one another. This Holy Thursday, we invite you into an interactive, intergenerational experience shaped by that love. All ages are invited to move at their own pace through interactive stations, share a meal of pasta, bread, and salad, and gather for Holy Communion, remembering that even in tender and uncertain times, we are held together in Christ. This is a shared family experience, so childcare will not be provided. Come as you are. Come together. Stay as long as you need. To help us plan for dinner, if you plan to attend, please RSVP to: https://bit.ly/holy-thursday-rsvp
Good Friday - April 3, 2026
7:30pm Tenebrae Worship in the Chapel
Childcare available
“Good Friday” is the Friday before Easter, and it signifies the day Jesus was crucified. It is called “Good” because it led to the Resurrection of Jesus and His victory over sin and death.
"Tenebrae" is the Latin word meaning "darkness” or “shadows”. The service involves reading Matthew’s account of the trial, sentencing, execution, death and burial of Jesus. After each segment of the story is read, a candle is extinguished. After the eighth reading, which confirms Jesus’ death on the cross, the Christ candle is removed and a loud sound is heard, symbolizing the earthquake that happened when Jesus died. The Christ candle is later restored to its place, symbolizing the triumph of good over evil.
