our mission

Our mission is to prepare God’s children for their lifelong journey of learning by instilling Christian values, developing positive social skills and encouraging academic success.

entrance ages

Entrance into a specific class is dependent upon the child’s age by September 30 of that school year. For example, to enter the 3-year old class, a child must be 3 by September 30.

schedule

All classes meet 9am-1pm. Our programming has changed for the 2021/22 school year to a 4-hour program.

toddlers

The Toddler class is a first preschool experience for children 2 ½ to 3 years of age. A child must be 2 ½ by September 1 to register for this class. It meets two days per week on Tuesdays and Thursdays or Mondays and Wednesdays. There will be 6 children per class. The class focus is socialization and development of autonomy. Children will be introduced to teacher-directed activities. The emphasis is on learning through play.

threes

Three year olds may attend a beginning preschool class which meets twice per week on Tuesday and Thursday in the morning or a class that meets 3 times per week on Monday, Wednesday and Friday in the morning. There will be 8 children per class. The class focus is on socialization, fostering independence and development of autonomy. Children will be introduced to preschool curriculum through simple learning centers and some teacher directed activities.

pre-k

Four-year-olds may attend classes that are held 3, 4 or 5 days per week in the morning. There are 12 children per class. There is a higher academic emphasis and a focus on preparation for Kindergarten. Pre-reading skills, sound-letter associations and small muscle activities will prepare children to read and write. There will be more opportunities for self-directed learning and extended dramatic play.

half day kindergarten

Children who are 5 by September 30 may attend the Kindergarten Program which meets 5 days per week Monday-Friday. Kindergarten will emphasize more academics than the Pre-K programs do, through targeted activities that would work on fine motor skills, phonemic awareness, reading skills, and math. Unlike a typical Kindergarten program, there will still be centers of play available with dedicated free choice time that will allow the children to continue working on their social emotional skills. Children in this program will be ready to go on to Kindergarten or 1^st grade, depending on parental wishes and the developmental readiness of the student. parents day out (pdo)

Apple Tree’s Parents Day Out program offers families of children aged 3-5 an opportunity to introduce their child to a formal preschool setting in a way that works with the schedule of many of today’s families. With its flexible scheduling options parents can take advantage of offering their child the chance to interact with other children and develop important social/emotional and academic skills in a Christian school setting without the commitment or costs of a year-long school schedule.

early drop-off

If you need to drop your child off before the 9am class start time, we offer early drop off from 8-9am. You are welcome to bring your child's breakfast for him/her to enjoy. Please note equipment to reheat breakfast is not available.

extended day enrichment

Enrichment at Apple Tree is a time for children to set their imaginations free where the sky is the limit. Science experiments, cooking, creative projects, drama and music will be just some of the experiences your child will have. Enrichment is available for children three years and older. Children are welcome to attend any day of the week, multiple days per week, or everyday per week. Children in the morning classes can attend from 1-3:30pm. Children are welcome to attend Enrichment on days when they are not in class. Enrichment is available on a first come – first serve basis.
